چکیده
The number of motor vehicles and traffic demand is growing in tandem with society's rapid economic development the quickening process urbanization. In India, congestion has become most serious issue. Vehicle's poor lane-changing behaviors have a significant impact on speed system. lane change behavior was observed study flow simulation model VISSIM. purpose this investigation to estimate changes by simulating them at different volume levels. also shows capacity its relationship change. maximum were calculated based proportions each vehicle type standard car flow. models for known compositions 4-lane, 6-lane, 8-lane divided highways been developed. According results, depends lanes provided particular direction travel. composition types influence highway capacity, which involves uncertainties analysis properties.

Headway distribution models of two-lane roads under mixed traffic conditions: a case study from India
Introduction The time headway of vehicles is of fundamental importance in traffic engineering applications like capacity, levelof-service and safety studies. Further, the performance of traffic simulation depends on inputs into the simulation process and ‘accurate vehicle generation’ is critical in this context. Thus, it is important to define headway distribution pattern for the purpose of ana...
متن کاملSimulation of Pedestrian Dynamics with Macroscopic and Microscopic Mathematical Models
Here, we collect two parts of a research project on the pedestrian flow modeling. Rapid growth in the volume of public transport and the need for its reasonable, efficient planning have made the description and modeling of transport and pedestrian behaviors as important research topics in the past twenty years. First, we present a macroscopic model for the pedestrian flow based on continuum mec...
متن کاملTesting and Benchmarking of Microscopic Traffic Flow Simulation Models
Microscopic simulation models are becoming increasingly important tools in modelling transport systems. There are a large number of available models used in many countries. The important difficult stage in the development and use of such models is the calibration and validation of the microscopic sub-models describing the traffic flow, such as the car following models for example. The aim of th...
متن کاملMicroscopic Simulation of Pedestrian Traffic
ere has recently been a renewed interest in planning for pedestrian trac, primarily in connection to public transport interchange stations, since these are important for public transport to constitute an aractive alternative to car usage. is thesis concerns microscopic simulation of pedestrian trac, which is a promising tool for analyzing and predicting the trac situation in a given pedes...
متن کاملEvaluation and further development of car following models in microscopic traffic simulation
This paper presents findings from a comparative evaluation of car-following behaviour in a number of microscopic traffic simulators. The paper describes the results of the calibration and validation of the car following model implemented in the ARTEMiS simulator developed by the author. The calibration and validation are based on a ‘standard’ car-following experiment (called the Boschtest) whic...
